Hmm, you're right. I just tried testing this on an empty moodle 4.0 dev instance I still had around. Upgraded it to 4.0.2+ and tried reproducing it, but couldn't. The Moodle 4.0.2+ environment I used yesterday is a clone of the 3.9.15+ environment that has been upgraded to 4.0.2+. Weird.

Sorry, do you mean the ones in Moodle or the text I copied from the PHP error log? With the default theme in 3.9.15+ and debugging off, it shows this error for me (see picture). The errors in the PHP error log are indeed only triggered when the accent error is present in combination with the RemUI theme, so that can be left out indeed.

I assume that for moodle 3.9 alone there's no point in making a bug report since it says there's only security support on this version?
