Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could test whether this bug

can be reproduced on (the current version of) Moodle 4 dev?

I have recently found that - at least in some versions of Moodle 3.9 and 3.11 - accented characters in at least Polish and French are not reproduced properly in email forwards of personal messages.

At the moment I have no environment with email set up where I could perform tests with Moodle 4.

I am really concerned about this issue, and any help or commentary would be very much appreciated.

My problem appears related to:

https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-72139

so I need to upgrade my 3.9.8 Moodles to a later version.

The MoodleCloud version should also be upgraded from 3.11.1 to a higher one - as a matter of priority.

Also , the affected versions are / were  3.9.8, 3.10.5, 3.11.1, 4.0 , while the declared fixed versions are  3.9.9, 3.10.6, 3.11.2  . Maybe testing Moodle 4 dev is worth a shot.
