Teacher assess student submissions

Teacher assess student submissions

I have a workshop activity running in a Marketing course that I teach. We are currently in the Assessment phase. Most of the students have now completed assessing their peer's submissions. I have used a very basic setup with 80% being awarded for the students' submission and 20% be awarded based on their assement of their classmates' work.  It's proably obvious, but I cannot see where I assess my students' submissions.  I see the following at the bottom of my screen in the assessment phase:

How do I allocate my students' submissions to me, the teacher to assess? 🤔

I found where I as the teacher can add my assessment to my students' submissions. I found when I click on the students' individual submission in the 'Allocate submissions' in the Submissions phase, I can choose to Delete or Assess the participants' work. So, my assumption was correct … it is obvious.  😑

Thanks David for reporting your findings, too (and not just leaving the question here smile)

Just to add, you should also get to this screen whenever you can see the list of submissions, simply by clicking the submission title. Also, IIRC, as a teacher you should be able to assess submissions even during the evaluation phase. So that you can provide your assessment where, for example, there is no consensus reached by peer reviewers.

Hope you'll find the Workshop useful.

I did this, but then my grade is no taken into account to calculate the final grade, no matter what weight I use. Do you have any idea about how to fix it?

Never mind, I just fixed it. I had to "recalculate grades" during the evaluation phase
