Hello

We're currently in the process of setting up a Moodle v3.9.* site - we have courses within different categories, but to save users having to search amongst them, I'm wondering if we'd be able to set up a custom page/plugin where we could select to show x amount of courses from the various categories in one place (essentially, a page showing all of the mandatory training a user has to complete).

Putting them in one category isn't really an option, so just wondering if anyone has any advice/ideas how we could achieve this?

If you enroll your students into their mandatory training it will be displayed on their Dashboard view.

Unfortunately that wouldn't really work, I have around 50,000 users and not all of them need to take the mandatory training (and there is nothing that differentiates systematically who does, all users through with role A, some users with role B etc). The individual users know what they have to take, it's more about just making it easier to find

50,000 users sounds like a business use. At some point you will need reports to demonstrate that the users in Role A did complete their mandatory Training. Likewise, the personnel with Role B did their set of mandatory training appropriate for Role B.
Enrollment methods can include adding users to a cohort or group. Both of those methods can be done vs a .csv upload.

It’s not a business smile All of the course completion is being passed via the API and a custom plugin to our internal information management system, so we can handle reporting from that.

I literally just want to display a handful of courses on a page, this must be achievable somehow?

In which case use self-enrolment. You can add a list of courses on the front page or even in an HTML block on the Dashboard. That's what we do - we list all the mandatory courses in an HTML block which is shown in all Dashboards. Stuff like fire training and equality training.
