Hello to anyone who might be using either the Quiz results block or the Examview question import/export format!

As mentioned in the news post Moodle core plugins review, we are currently reviewing the plugins in core with the aim of removing any which are no longer or hardly used, and if appropriate, adding them to the Plugins directory. Included in the list of plugins being considered for possible removal are the Quiz results block and the Examview question import/export format.

Thus, please let us know if you have any reasons for wanting either of these plugins to remain in core.

Note, in 2009 there was a new block made which will work with any type of activity, not just quizzes. Therefore the specific quiz results block has been surplus to requirements for more than 10 years.

As you mention Tim, our reason for considering removing the Quiz results block is because the Activity results block provides the same functionality.

It's nice of you to ask.

This week, our IT department removed access to the editor preferences, without consultation, without warning. They probably thought that all teachers should use the Atto editor because they're too dumb to use the Plain text area editor.

These IT people, what a bunch of... sad

I had some explanations and I retract.

what a bunch of... excellent computer specialists. smileThey integrated Moodle with Teams, which required changing the authentication method. For security (and maybe other) reasons, modification of the user profile had to be prevented, but it will be synchronized from the network. Access to the editor preferences seems to be related to user profile access, but they are not sure yet. They'll check that out a bit later.

It's a lot of hard work under a lot of pressure. I think the IT people definitely deserve my respect.
