Yesterday I installed the latest Moodle (3.10.4+, build: 20210511). After that I find in "Security checks" -> "Reports" the hint that the default role for the users is set wrong (see below). But there is no other role to choose.

iIread the linked discussion and i am hardly wiser than before. It is discussed and the problem seems to expand in the meantime, but then no action is taken and now, over a year later, this irritating message still comes. I guess the best thing I can do is ignore this message.

Yes, just ignore it. Since it is caused by a particular permission used in the user Privacy policy tools - and that permission is needed if you do use those tools - we know this is a false positive warning.
