In the course of testing my little Export Glossary to Quiz block plugin, just came across a bug/limitation of that question type.

When creating a Random short-answer matching question, if using short answer questions with images in the question text, those images are not displayed in the Random short-answer matching question.

Is that a known bug/limitation? Related to MDL-27414 ?

Not specifically related to that bug. More related to the changes in the file API that happened in Moodle 2.0. Probably the randomsamatch qtype could have the necessary code written, but since no-one has noticed in 10 years, it does not strike me as a huge priority. More an interesting challenge for anyone who cares to work it out.
