Migration from Windows to Linux

Hello,

I have a self hosted Moodle server currently running on Windows 10 within a Bitnami stack using Moodle version 3.6.3. I am looking to migrate the full Moodle site to a cloud hosted Ubuntu 20.04 Linux distro using 3.10.1. I am wondering what the best procedure will be for a seamless transition. We are looking to maintain all of our courses, students and any other specific site settings.

I know I may be vague with specific details so please ask anything you may require.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Thank you for your reply! Greatly appreciated.

I did refer to this document prior and should have appropriately worded in my initial question.

My question is seeing they are both hosted on different server types, can the data and root folder be directly copied and ran on the other server type architecture without issue? Windows to Linux.

Thank you.

Yes, it is safe to migrate your site across operating systems.
