Have done some basic moodle installs but now have a client with a unique setup and looking for some advise on the best way to structure data and if Moodle can do what we need (using latest version self installed) My specific queries are in bold
- We have a number of formal certifications (Cert 4 in xxxx, Cert 4 in yyyy etc), each which require multiple courses be completed to pass.
- A course can be in multiple certifications
Then to complicate things further each certification can be offered across multiple campuses, each offering different certifications to different classes.
I am thinking the following
- Setting up the campuses as different categories, with the certification as a sub category, and the courses under each one (is it possible to cross link a 'master' course into different categories or would we need to duplicate and run multiple copies?)
- Setting up a competency and learning plan for each certification
- Setting up a cohort for each class
- Setting up a group for each campus
- Each user can then be assigned to a group/cohort to keep track of them
Just wondering if anyone has set up something similar and has a better solution.
