Adding New SCORM to Existing Course

Adding New SCORM to Existing Course

We are using 3.6.3+ (Build20190315) - Adaptable Theme; I would like to update several SCORM files. Typically, I have deleted the zipped folder on the SCORM activity settings page and uploaded the new zipped file (keeping the activity, but swapping out its file(s)). With no problems. I am making some shorter as I received a couple reports of users could not complete and progress was lost. Our SCORM are quite simple, linear - complete/incomplete.

I also need to add two new SCORMs to this existing course. I do not plan on changing course completion settings as many students have already completed; but I would like to restrict access to the last activity until the two new ones are completed. I shouldn't have any issues with past students/completion settings, correct?

Anywhere you can direct me for tips on updating an existing course with replacement and new SCORM with active students?

Thank you.

You could put 'new' students in a group and hide (using activity restrictions) old activities from anyone in that group and hide new activities from anyone not in that group. Then there's no confusion about what they should do. Do you have ways to mark the 'new' students complete? I've got a course where 30 or so students completed the original 5 modules and then we 'replaced' them from a curriculum perspective with 9 or 10 new ones. I placed the original 30 students in a group and placed view restrictions on the original modules (must be in that group). The new modules got view restrictions for anyone not in the group. The activity following these modules required all 5 modules be complete. I modified the restriction to be must complete original 5 OR new series. It takes some time and coordination but can help.
