Hi,

we're new to moodle & would like to promote it our staff in different regions.

Training dept provides SCROM packages containings 3-5 mins video clip + few questions, which exported from existing LMS, & uploaded to moodle, everything is fine, except one thing,

using official (iOS & Android) app to playback video shows a top & down navigation menu bar, & failed to enforce full-screen video playback when mobile rotated to landscape.

Reproduce the videos nor direct upload video are not options.

video information:

  • mp4/H.264
  • resolution: 720p
  • 30fps

remarks: video playback in the landscape is fine for direct upload video

Three questions: are you using the Moodle Mobile app? What do you use to publish the video as scorm? Are you using an accessible/responsive design?

If the answer to the first or last question is no, that might be the problem.
The second question might help direct how to on the third...if you use captivate, there is responsive design options. If you use Lectora, there are responsive design options. If you use Camtasia...not so much...

Hi Melanie,

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, we're using moodle app download from Google Play or App Store.

For the second questions, how to check tools produce SCROM? I have the SCROM & \imsmanifest said:

  <metadata>
    <schema>ADL SCORM</schema>
    <schemaversion>1.2</schemaversion>
....
Is this information useful?

Training department users are still in holidays.

Thanks.

Not really--So, you're using the app and that is probably good. but it sounds like you don't know what software is being used to develop...what you use might affect how it displays. Whether you are using responsive design or not will affect how it displays.
