I really wish there was a way to make the blog in moodle public. I searched and seems impossible. Although I don't quite understand this setting "open to google" and what is actually open to google. If I do that setting will blog posts that I make at:

https://www.mymoodle.com/blog/edit.php?action=add

Be able to be found by google?

Other idea is you can make pages on the front end that aren't behind a log in right?

The blog CAN be made public, and therefore seen by Google. https://docs.moodle.org/310/en/Using_Blogs

You also need tick the box you’ve mentioned about being “Open to Google” and allow “auto-login guests”.

You’ll probably need to add some metadata to the Additional HTML settings as well: Google doesn’t just magically find you 😉

Thanks for your reply. That link didn't say anything about open to google?

When it's "open to google" does that mean google can crawl the blog and users have to log in or what? Can those settings open to google and auto-login guests conflict with a Paypal course?

I guess I'll play around with it.

OHHH...

What sort of metadata are you talking about?

Do I need to check this one too?

In Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Authentication > Manage authentication set the Guest login button to Show

no guest accessOkay so I tried out what you said with the settings then made a blog post. Then went to an incognito window and put the url in:
https://mymoodle.com/blog/index.php?entryid=2

Then I get an error and can't see the post like above.
