We are running Moodle v3.1.3+ (build 20161202).
The external database is being used to enroll users in non-academic courses, such as those for organizations and committees.
The external database is refreshed hourly by executing a series of SQL queries against the ORACLE database used by our ERP system which is our golden source of student/user data.
After allowing what appears to be adequate time for the external database refresh to take place, we then run the sync.php job to process that table and enroll/unenroll the users in the various courses.
Here's my issue....
We seem to have a large number of enrollments every hour in a variety of courses, for example, those in which we enroll all students.
I wouldn't think that our student population query results would vary by very much every hour.
Is there something else here that's going which I'm ignoring or of which I'm just unaware?
