Can a zip file of the installed plugins be deleted?

Hi.

I installed some plugins in our Moodle site.  Normally you upload a zip file right?  After the plugin has been installed, can you delete the zip file of the plugin from the archive of the hosting?

Answer is yes ... but not sure about the question ... from Moodle or from backup hosting provider is making of your account/site?  And why?  inode limits?

From the hosting provider where our Moodle site is hosted. We just want to save disk space.

So, is it safe to delete zip files of installed plugins?
