Change default webcam for forum videos

Some inbuilt laptop webcams are pretty awful, so it's nice to be able to switch to an external device for a higher quality picture.

Chrome theoretically lets you change your default webcam via chrome://settings/content/camera

However, when I try to make a video recording direct from the Moodle Forum editor, it defaults to using my inbuilt one. The options to change it from the camera access status icon in the address bar are greyed out:

For comparison, I checked and the same thing initially happens in Google Meet; however, the video element controls themselves let me override this again, and switch the input back to my higher-quality external webcam:

Is there an equivalent (hidden?) option in the video recorder interface on Moodle Forum?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I too, want to use OBS to upload content but cannot get Moodle to connect to it although everything else I do does.
