Do you have to manually edit every single time there is a PHP update in order for your file size limits not to be reset back to 2MB?????

Hi

Can't give a blank statement for all sorts of operating systems and their flavours in circulation. In the Linux distributions I know, an update won't touch php.ini. A full dist-upgrade would, if you give the corresponding answer in its dialogue screen.

Depends on what you mean by "update". Depends how PHP was installed.

If we're talking about the small updates that come with Linux package managers, then no. If we're talking about a whole new version of PHP then probably yes.
