Moodle 3.2 gave us a tough task: a new way to handle Javascript. Writing Javascript code in a Moodle plugin is not a good idea: it breaks too often with each new version of Moodle.
Our team lacked a Javascript specialist for a while, but now - thanks to Artem Prokudin - Preg and CorrectWriting questions are released for Moodle 3.2 - 3.8
Perl-Compatible Regular Expression question type has also a big new shiny feature: typo detection. Now you, as a teacher, may avoid a response graded wrongly just for a single typo - even for answers coming as regular expressions!
You will need to manually enable typo detection in your question and set limits for the number of allowed typos.
