JCross and the gradebook in HotPot 6?

JCross and the gradebook in HotPot 6?

Hi Again,

Well, I think I've found out the answer to my previous question regarding HotPot7, thanks to the information provided in the plugin's help explanation.  ( My question posted yesterday was addressed to Gordon Baetson: "a very basic question")

So I've downloaded HotPot6 and am planning to make activities using 6 because it seems to work better, and under the assumption that the Moodle integration for HotPot7 is under development.

Nevertheless, when I make a JCross activity in HotPot6, the gradebook doesn't seem to integrate. JMix, JMatch, and JCloze have worked fine in 6...

If anyone could offer advice for integrating JCross with the gradebook in Moodle 3.8, I'd be very grateful.

Best wishes,

Andrew Obermeier

Hi Andrew,
I'm glad to hear you are using Hot Potatoes 6. At least for the time-being.
Could you try adding your JCross as a HotPot activity to my development site, so that we can look at it together?

Thanks,
Gordon

Thanks Andrew. I didn't get the message, and I don't see your HotPot. Hmm ...
Are you able to add your JCross as a HotPot activity on that site?

Thanks Gordon,

I went to your course and added a HotPot within it, and tested it there... It worked better there, so I went back to my own site to try again....

Although I changed nothing, it worked this time!

My guess is that I had tested the HotPot on my site in preview mode? without having yet saved it to my Moodle properly.

I'm very sorry for the false alarm!
JCross works like a charm.

Stay safe,

Andrew
