Disabling student uploading

Hi there. I'm hoping that you can help me. I'm using Moodle version 2.8.10

I have limited space on my server and I want to prevent this becoming a problem. So, I want to prevent student uploads (or perhaps minimize their size).

I've been scouring here:

Site Admin > Users > Permissions > Define Roles > Student > Settings

But not found what I need. Can anyone help?

As an alternative, you could limit the size of uploads in a number of ways. For example, in a course, there is a setting for File Uploads (see graphic.) You could set this at the smallest size.  I don't know if there is a "zero" setting, but 10KB is quite small.

Realize that if you ever want a student to upload a picture, that most "photos" these days can be 2 to 4 MB in size.

Or, it might be time for you to investigate how to increase your server's storage capacity.

Thank you taking the time to help me! Jerz you have solved my problem. I'll just minimise the upload size - I wasn't aware this was an option.
Fair point Howard - I also administer some other teachers' classes, so I have to do more than just change the tasks I use in my class.
Thanks again guys.
