Hi, we upgraded our Moodle a few weeks ago and suddenly we could no long add users. Last night we ran the latest upgrade 3.8.1 hoping that that would solve the problem, unfortunately no luck. When I try to add a user it says érror reading from database' More information about this error. If I click more information it takes me to https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/error/moodle/dmlreadexception . The site I'm running is proof of concept and I am by no means a techy so I need simple step by step help and instructions please. I have a deadline for today, so I am rather desperate.
The moodle page for more information tells you to turn on debugging.
Site Admin Menu -> Development -> Debugging
/admin/settings.php?section=debugging
Set to highest in drop down ... developer.
Then try whatever again.
Moodle should show a window on error. Copy and paste the text of that error to a text document on your local machine - NotePad/TextEdit on Mac). Save the text file for later reference.
Come back to this thread and respond ... here's the error ... paste text of error into the posting.
