I want to be able to add a custom image to the login instructions, however there is no 'Browse Repositories' button when clicking the image icon in the instructions text editor within the Authentication plugin settings. How do I go about uploading and adding a custom image in this section?

Annoyingly, the answer appears to be that you can't.
The site summary field on the front page is similarly restricted but at least here there's a workaround: adding a label activity to the front page with the uploaded image.
The only "easy" workarounds for the authentication instructions I can think of are either: 1) host the image somewhere else linking to this or 2) put the image in the Moodle source code directory (which could get lost with source code changes) and link to it there.
Presumably you could do this with a customised theme but that sounds like a lot of work for this.
You could also open a Tracker issue to request this functionality.
