User messages visual limit

Hi All


I was wondering if there is a hard coded limit to the number of personal messages shown to each user. From testing we have found this limit is around 50 entries so the user is unable to view any personal messages from other users which exceed this limit.


Is this a known limitation and is it user configurable.

Hi,

We have the same problem. There is no way to list more messages.

Does anyone know any solution or workaround?

I cannot see a core-method of doing so, however, if you're using Moodle 3.7 +, you do have a scroll option when viewing the message panel (but on the Messaging page itself, I also see a limit of 50 with no way to see older ones outside of the message panel)

Are you aware of where this limit is and if so is it part of moodle core? We know a number of clients who we support who would like this changed but im not sure where the limit is set?
