Republishing SCORM package to active course

Republishing SCORM package to active course

Hello everyone,

I have a course (package) that was created and published using Adobe Captivate 2019.  The course is live and has a large number of students either completing it currently, or have completed it recently .

There have been revisions made to the original course (package) content that will require me to republish it and replace the existing "live" course.

If I replace the existing package with the new "revised" version, will I lose the student data/records pertaining to the original?

Will my students lose their completions or progress?

Thank you!

In general, I've had tremendous success replacing modules without losing data. Officially, it should only work if you do not change the number of pages in the course (and/or questions, if you add them in Captivate, vs using Moodle). But I think I've done that and still kept my records of what students have done... I'm not sure what it will do with completion...

Before doing it, I would run a list of completed students. If you lose completions, you can manually force those back to complete.
