@shirley, you might want to re-check out the plugin as I think your second two points are now covered. From my play, there is a field to add third party names, and both the emails sent to the students and third parties can use HTML (see screenshot below).
This might then help with another issue I need to resolve, as we need to get all users to resist this each year or so, but it doesn't resolve my first fundamental issue.
