Is there an Admin report that shows how many instances of a course format are being used across a site? Something similar to the Manage Activities report which shows the number of instances activities are used and which courses they are used in.
If not what is the best way to get that information? Would it be to run a query on the database?

As far as I know, a DB query or a PHP script (local plugin or admin tool or otherwise) that does that.
