I recently upgraded to Moodle 3.7.2 and although pages have a last modified date displayed, courses do not. I do not see any custom css preventing the display of .modified. Based on other forum posts that want it removed, it is supposed to be there. Any ideas?
The 'course' database table does have a 'timemodified' field but I would want to be clear what it means (which I'm not). My guess is just when the course settings change. Not the same thing as a modification being made to (for example) the course content.
Anyway, this isn't exactly your question. Can I ask where you are looking at this?

Hmm, maybe the posts I was referring to only relate to pages, not courses.
Here's a discussion on timemodified, sounds like it doesn't apply to changes to course content: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=391008#p1576092
So sounds like we're stuck with manually adding a last modified date to the bottom of course pages.
