converting questions from efront to moodle

Hello:

We have been using a legacy version of eFront 3.6.15 for our LMS. It works great, but we're quickly finding we need to update our servers and it will not longer function... grr...

We're transferring our learning programs to moodle (Sadly, moodle version 2.6.11). (We will upgrade to latest moodle once our vendor updates their API to be compatible with the latest version of moodle).

One main stumbling block is that we need to export 1000s of questions from efront and import the questions into Moodle. many of our questions have images, multiple-choice (single/multiple options), etc...

I'm fairly well versed in SQL, and think that might be the best approach is to export from the question table in SQL then manipulate in a text file and then import to moodle using the import feature..., yet figured it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone has done this before and/or if there is tool to do so.
