When trying to add files to new coures happens this:

Warning: OpenDir: Permission denied (errno 13) in /home/users/wkasv03/public_html/moodle/lib/moodlelib.php on line 1736

Error: unable to read this directory! : /home/users/wkasv03/moodledata/4


Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/users/wkasv03/public_html/moodle/lib/weblib.php on line 261


And when i try to follow the instructions, happens this:

Warning: OpenDir: Permission denied (errno 13) in /home/users/wkasv03/public_html/moodle/files/index.php on line 494

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/users/wkasv03/public_html/moodle/files/index.php on line 495

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/users/wkasv03/public_html/moodle/files/index.php on line 506


Should i contact the system administrator or can i fix it? And how? Thanks!

Your system admin should be able to help, yes. You just have to make sure that the directory /home/users/wkasv03/moodledata/ is read-and-writeable by the web server process (eg apache or something like that)

We have apache (Apache/1.3.22) and PHP Version 4.1.2.

And i have chmodded files and folders, maybe more than necessary.

Our system advisor is on christmas vacation, so i may bombard this forum for a while.. مبتسم (I`m connected to university server and database from my home pc.)

This error appears when trying to add files to new course:

But generally, I consider this application very good! And i hope you Martin find time for your doctoral dissertion.
