Suggested (Affordable) Course merchant options for Moodle 3.7?

Suggested (Affordable) Course merchant options for Moodle 3.7?

Hi Guys

Has anyone explored affordable course merchant systems for Moodle 3.X (and Yes) We investigated Course-merchant as the obvious (but we hope not ONLY choice) and they're nice guys - but at an upfront cash on the table "starting price"  of between £1500 and £5000 before youve taken a single penny in - thats not really an option for non profits and startups that dont have Private Equity sugar daddies. It is more aimed at larger corporates (or at least not a small charity like us)

So - anything else - or is that the only show in town for anything vaguely integrated with Moodle (a depressing thought)

if youve used other solutions how did you get on? Do they have auto-enrol?  Course waitlisting etc? Nothing wildly complex needed - just *affordable*

Thanks

Hi Howard

Always nice to hear from you. I will look into EdwiserBridge thanks - not heart of that commerce solution, but unclear about adding wordpress into the mix. Doesnt that mean a whole new website when I really want to just integrate purchasing into moodle?

Thanks again and speak soon?

Hi Mary

Paypal is certainly a perfectly effective payment gateway, but we're looking hard at options for commerce & enrolment off-the-shelf tools.

The payment option at the end of that could be anything - not especially bothered so... paypal, authorise.net  etc all fine.

What I was keen to hear about (but perhaps no one really uses moodle for paid access?) is about the front end customer enrolment and fullfilment process. (Arrive at page, choose a course, make payment, get enrolled  or o on a waitlist to be enrolled)

That sort of thing?

I do know there are small non-profits using Course Merchant, so it could be something that could be discussed with them? Other solutions that I've heard of have been fairly bespoke and therefore costly, unfortunately, or used multiple systems to get between the ecommerce and Moodle which required some manual intervention.

Hi yes course merchant do some great stuff, but my post put affordable in the title as course merchants set up costs are just beyond the  reach of most normal users -  they’ve decided to focus on big business

So that’s a bit of. Dead end. Sorry
