We have recently upgraded to Moodle 3.6 and the timeline block is not available on the dashboard. I read the timeline block is displayed by default. Is there something we need to enable at the admin level? I know the assignments have to have an end date or a completion date for them to display in the timeline and that instructors have to set a remind me to grade by date so they can see what needs grading. We don't have the timeline block for the assignments to display in. Any ideas?

How about checking whether the timeline block is shown on the default Dashboard page (in Site admin / Appearance / Default Dashboard page)? If so, you may have to reset the Dashboard for all users so that it is shown on everyone's Dashboard.
