For a client I am supposed to help integrate LTI courses imported as IMSCC with a demo moodle.
We have tested any setup I can think of, but one main problem remains: the preconfigured tool with the settings is not recognized with "Automatic, based on tool URL". If I edit the activity manually and pick the preconfigured tool, it - mostly - works.
Doing that for hundreds of activities linking to specific tasks within the book is out of the question.
Why would the activity show "Tool configuration not found for this URL." when both clearly are on the same domain without subdomain etc.?
Both in the preconfig. tool and the activities created from the IMSCC the URLs start like: https://www.*****learning.com/modules/LTI/Server.php?id*****
Also as we run the site with https, we have tried to force https by extracting the IMSCC, changing all http related to the tool-URL (and remote activity icon) to https in the XMLs - and import that changed IMSCC - with no effect.
Once this is solved, I might have to come back to other seemingly common issues like grades not reported back to moodle etc. seen when picking the tool in the activity manually.
The Demoserver runs Moodle 3.2.2+
