Hi everybody,

Sorry for my bad english write. Hope it's understandable! smile

I need your important HELP to install Moodle on a Windows Server 2016 standard and, after that, make it accessible from the Internet via the URL courses.xyz.com (I already have the DNS).

I already attempt an installation but doesn't run! On the server is yet not present IIS because was installed XAMP from Moodle installer package for Windows from Moodle.org/downloads/ :

Install Moodle on your own server (requires a web server with PHP and a database) by downloading one of the following packages or obtaining Moodle via Git.

Alternatively, try Moodle on your personal computer with an installer package which includes all other software required to make it run (Apache, MySQL and PHP).

•Moodle installer package for Windows

 Could please someone help me step by step to install or link me to a complete guide??

I think running Moodle on a home server is not the best way of doing it. I also think - unless you already have skills in IIS or your organisation is committed to its use - a LAMP stack is a better choice for ease of installation, documentation and support. Even better may be to use MoodleCloud.
If you want to go somewhere, you make it easier by choosing the best place to start.

Hello David, sometime back I made tutorial, that can help you out.

This tutorial is based on server 2012 R2, but procedure for server 2016, server 2019 remains same.

Server 2016 - will want / have IIS 10. Instructions for IIS 10 specifically are hard to find. Server 2016 - accept the default location for the install unless you are really, really good with Windows.
Control panel and roles and features wizard, select role based or feature installation, choose the server (probably only offers you the one you are working on) then select IIS. Once you have it installed you will need to configure it for your web site including php before you try to install Moodle.
