Multitenancy LMS

Hi

We are looking for an LMS solution that allows a multi-site or multi-tenancy approach as follows:

- single entry page for users/students with global search across all subsites

- behind, a federated approach with multiple autonomous sites which are managed in a decentralised way by local teams

- the complexity of the architecture hidden from the end user - who can just search for and follow courses independently of which subsite the course is hosted on.

i heard about a moodle multi tenancy or multi site version.

Is something planned or already available?

thanks

Paul

There is a fork which is continuously synced the mainstream Moodle. Check https://www.iomad.org/.

You might even recognize the developer.

Moodle just announced a multi-tenant version, Moodle Workplace. It should be released through Moodle Partners this summer. It's not totally clear to me to what extent multi-tenancy will be supported, although the description looks good.

See https://moodle.com/workplace

Only available through Moodle Partners, and thus a cost associated with that and the code base will not be released as through the normal Moodle methods.
