Assignment Multiple PDF Upload

Hello,


Is it possible to allow students to upload multiple PDF's in an assignment with the ability to annotate the individual PDF's when grading?  Right now I can only annotate the first PDF and only if the first file is a PDF.  If the first file is a different file type - then I am not able to load the PDF into the assignment annotated pane.


In the attached image the student uploaded multiple PDF's - I can download the individual files; however I can't load the individual files into the left Assignment pane in order to annotate the PDF's.

Cannot really offer any help without knowing which version of Moodle and which document convertor you are using. Do you have, Annotate PDF's set in the Feedback types of the assignment activity?

  • Moodle 3.6.2 (Build: 20190114)
  • Unoconv document converter


I have the annotate PDF's set.  I can annotate a PDF no problem.  I can only annotate the first pdf added.  I can't load any other uploaded PDF - only the first one.

If the student uploads a CAD file first (their drawing file), then a PDF - I can't load the PDF.  

The area seems to only load the first file and there is no ability to choose another uploaded PDF.

I tested on my Moodle 3.6.1+ (Build: 20181220) with 3 PDF's. All three were converted and I could mark on all three of them. I just upgraded the to Moodle 3.6.2+ (Build: 20190208) and using a student uploaded two PDF's and an odg file. The first student acount still showed the rendered and annotated 3 PDF's. The new student upload rendered all three files correctly, I cound annotate on them, and the student could see the results.


Do you have any restrictions set for Submission types > Accepted file types, in the activity setup?

Under Site administration > Plugins > Document converters > Manage document converters, are the file types you are trying to use, all listed under Supported document conversions column for Unoconv?

Thanks for letting me know.  I found the arrow buttons on the top left side to move through the files.  Now that I've figured out the basic functionality of this it works.  Thanks for testing this and providing your feedback.  I was looking in the wrong spot.
