How to set default field in profile as required? example. When create user, select a country field, we need the field to be fill when someone create a new account. Where can we can change the setting?
Unfortunately you cannot do this. This functionality was requested (MDL-9908) but has never been implemented. You can add a custom user profile field and enable Is this field required? but this only effects users when they edit their own profile, admins can still add users leaving the field blank (MDL-40570).
The only way I can think of doing this is if you had an existing repository containing your users' information, e.g. LDAP or a database, and you read the fields from this repository.
