Are Google+ APIs the same ones used to configure Google Oauth2 in Moodle?

Not really a developer, but have had to acquire such accounts to be able to configure Google Oauth2 for Moodles. Do we have any true Google Developers in these forums?
If so, what about the info presented @ following?

"Google will shut down Google+ four months early after second data leak - The Verge"
https://www.theverge.com/2018/12/10/18134541/google-plus-privacy-api-data-leak-developers

Is Google+ APIs the same as: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/ where one finds creds setups?  Know Google's attempt at 'social' was Google+ and that's been on the chopping block for a long time ... or headed for the 'Google GraveYard' ... but what of console.developers.google.com/apis/?

Confused?!!! Thanks, in advance,

Ken

Hi Ken,

as far as I know, that is just the Google+ API. It is just one of the dozens (hundreds?) of Google's APIs. OAuth2 credentials are used accross many (most?) Google APIs, including Gmail, Google Apps, Youtube, etc. And you manage access (among other things) to those APIs via https://console.developers.google.com/apis/. So I'd say https://console.developers.google.com/apis/ isn't going anywhere any time soon smile

Saludos.

Iñaki.

Whew!   That had me worried!   Thanks, Iñaki!

Google is a confusing place ... especially when one mixes Google For Education in the mix. :|
