Hi Moodle Community,
Is it possible to set up a quiz so that students can only see the correct answers to the questions if they have completed the quiz with a passing grade? On the flip side, if a student does not pass a quiz, they should not see the correct answers until they pass the quiz.
Please let me know if what I'm asking makes sense and if you have any questions. Thanks for your help!
Quiz settings>Review options.
Deselect the Right answer checkbox for any of the quiz "phases."

Thanks for your help! Just to confirm, you're saying I should turn off the "Right answer" option for the following phases:
If I do this, how will people see what they got right/wrong after they pass the quiz? Or should I only leave "Right Answer" selected in part 4 (After the quiz is closed)?

I deselect the right answer for all of the options, because my quizzes never close - and I have unlimited attempts.
Interesting, Shirley. Last question: how do you let students who do pass see the answers that they got right/wrong?

On the summary of their attempts page there is a Review link.
This link displays the questions, student's response and the correct answers.
I normally include "student instructions" either on the course page or quiz page
- if you receive a passing score, you can review the your quiz by.....
Does this work conditionally? Meaning, ONLY the passing students are able to see the correct answers?
Using my student role on a "failed" quiz, the feedback displayed all correct and incorrect answers.
It does not prevent the failing student's from seeing the correct answers. I normally do not worry about it, because the question bank for each course is oversized and I randomize. Student's are not served up the same questions, so even if they know the correct responses it isn't very helpful on the next quiz attempt.
As far as I know there's no way of achieving this.
Maybe you can separate them into groups (pass / no pass) and use conditions to allow them to see the quiz. The no passing group wouldn't see anything - including their grade....

I have to solve a similar scenario.
The Student take the quiz submit all response and finish the attempt. The quiz is still open, and the student doesn’t have other attempts.
I need that the Students that has passed the quiz are enabled to review and print his attempt, even If the students has failed the quiz they could not review the attempt.
On current version of moodle there is not an option to enable the quiz review tool based on passed failed condition. If I enable Review, later while the quiz is still open student can see failed quiz too.
Is there any option to do that or it need a development?
