Hello everyone,


I am a teacher in a school and I am in charge of managing Moodle.

This year, i struggled a bit to migrate Moodle from a mutualized server to a VPS but I thought I succeed totally.

Today, some users experienced a strange screen when they tried to recover their password. 

You can check the screen in the pdf file below.

The normal behaviour should be to display the second half of the aforementioned document and not the verbose text of CLIENT -> SERVER, etc.


I have Moodle 3.5.2+ (Build: 20180927) and adaptable theme.

What do you think I need to change in the config of my server (php 7.2) to display correctly the recovery screen?

I would start by attempting to recopy the forgot_password.php file from a fresh downloaded copy of moodle (same version that you are running.) It could just be a corrupted file. 

I would also check your outgoing email settings as this file appears to be detailing the connection with the email server.
