Cannot Access Site Administration after Installation

Cannot Access Site Administration after Installation

Hi,

I just installed Moodle onto my server, and I can login to my Moodle with my admin account. But it won't let me access the Site Administration. When I do click on it I get the following error:

This page isn’t working

websitename is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

Any idea what is the cause of this?

Thanks,

Ryan

What kind of server?  I suggest starting with file and folder permissions...

Thanks for the reply Emma.

The server is a linux server (x86 64bit) (sorry if this is wrong information to what you need to know, not a big server person)

I've opened up the MoodleData directory to 777 and still no luck. Cleared both cache folders in there and still nothing.

Thanks for the help.
