Student group in course based on global group membership

Hello to all

Is it possible to automatically categorize a student into a group in a course, depending on its membership in the global group? 

At the moment I have students classified into global groups and enrolled in courses using LDAP. I need to enter them into individual study groups within one Course.

In Moodle, what you are thinking of as 'Global groups' are called 'Cohorts'. Hopefully that lets you find the relevant docs.

Yes you are right. But although I read the documentation about Cohorts, I could not find a solution.
