Any config additions/changes to Moodle for a site now behind CloudFlare?

First, if this forum isn't the right one ... please move to more appropriate.

Situation: The entity that host is moving to the Cloud ... 100%.

CentOS 7 server with multiple versions of Moodle installed and functioning just fine ... up until about a week ago.  As had been SOP in the past, when that server got a massive scan, I'd report it to the IT person.  Former IT person did use the info and would check into other servers for similar.  New IT person + moving to Cloud 100%, the server now behind CloudFlare - at least the changes to DNS have been made.

Can still access the server via ssh by it's old IP address ... watch realtime logs, etc.  but ...

Accessing any of the moodles installed, on initial access to any of them, no issues.   Can even login and click around.   Go to anything 'admin' and then browser begets a CloudFlare error 520 which says browser end ok, CloudFlare is ok (but the page shows no ray), but the server behind didn't (cannot) respond.

Logged on via ssh and watching realtime logs, I can see no access attempt for the URL that the browser requested ... ie, request didn't reach the server.

In inspecting the NIC's ... eth0 ... the one connected to the local LAN/WAN and thus internet an ifconfig shows

        RX packets 49442160  bytes 3586831782 (3.3 GiB)
        RX errors 0  dropped 9207  overruns 0  frame 0

RX no errors but dropped packets do increase.

Can find no other errors in testing the NIC with ethtool or other CLI tool.

Am thinking it's a CloudFlare rule for outbound traffic ... ie, from server back to the client that requested whatever.  OR ... possibly a config change/addition needs be made to the Moodle configs.

Is there any change to config of Moodles needed for running a Moodle behind CF?

Anyone?

Thanks, in advance, Ken
