Moodle 3.5

In Moodle messages If we set "Prevent non-contacts from messaging me" and a non-contact tries to send a message we get the following error message: "UserXXX only accepts messages from their contacts." which is OK... The problem is that if we set the debug messages on (even with display off) we get some javascript error messages displayed on the error message window.

Sent an image as attachment when testing on moodle demo Mount Orange School.

I don't know how to correct this... but let me know if I can help in any other way.

Hi Susana,

I am able to reproduce the problem. The error is showing because debugging is enabled on your site. Please disable the debugging on your site by using the below-mentioned URL:


Yourdomain/admin/settings.php?section=debugging


Set debug message to none and uncheck the display debug message.

But I was able to reproduce the problem on moodle demo site... Is the moodle demo site with debug on?

Anyway there should be no errors even with debug on... If we have an error with debug on it indicates that there is an error, right? smile
