Can this not be resolved using a theme? I vaguely recall a previous discussion about something like this that, from memory, was resolved with a theme change or similar.
You may want to look at this as a suggested improvement in Moodle Tracker.

Is your calendar a Moodle block? You can configure your block to display just on that main page: https://docs.moodle.org/34/en/Block_settings
If that is not what you mean, please provide more information.
