I'm working in the German Words Glossary (http://moodle.org/mod/glossary/view.php?id=1032). How can I add new categories?
Hi Ralf,
Go to Browse by Category and then click on the "Edit Categories" button in the top left corner of the frame, right below the "browse by Alphabet" tab.
Cheers,
Will

Hi Will,
in my view there is no 'Edit Categories' Button. What can i do, to acitivate this option. My role now is teacher.
Hi Ralf,
If you are teacher, you should be able to see that button.
Can you allow me teacher access to that forum so I can take a look at this glosary?

Hi Will,
here is a picture from my screen. I think i can't give your the rights as teacher

Hi ralf,
Unfortunelly, I have not a clue about this... If you are a teacher, you shouls be able to see that button... perhaps Martin could do something...
In the meantime, I think you can access the page by click on this link directly:
http://moodle.org/mod/glossary/editcategories.php?id=1032&mode=cat
EDIT: I've created a glossary in the Demo course and it seems to be a problem with that version... I think that version had a lot of problems...
let's wait that Martin upgrade this version and try again.

Hi again Ralf,
I found and fixed the problem... It was enableing to add/edit categories only the admins. It will be be finally fixed here, in Moodle.org, as soon as it gets updated again. I'm so sorry.
I'm trying to locate another problem regarding the way the entries are shown... In the meantime, I've changed the display format of your glossary to the default one.

Hi Will,
there is an other interesting effect. I edited all entries in 'not categorized' and moved them to the new cotegories. At last I found to empty pages in the not categorized folder.
I'm not sure I got what you meant.
Do you meant that, even when there's no entries in the No Categorised section, you can see the paging links showing the All and page numbers links?
Uhmm.. That's possible,,, let me take a look... Thanks for posting it.
