I teach a course twice weekly (so weekly format won't work) with a couple of dates that are holidays. I'd like to link a course to a calendar and tell it what days I teach on and what days are holidays (like the option on planbook.com). Is there a way to do this on moodle? I use the free version of MoodleCloud.

The Calendar is core so it should be available in Moodlecloud, just add it in as a block. But why a calendar? Why not use the Announcements section or add a label with holidays on on part and Teaching days on another.
It would be much easier for me from semester to semester to just change the beginning and ending dates on the course, and tell it what days of the week it meets instead of doing what I am currently doing, which is to assign a date to every assignment (same date for each assignment in the section) and to manually write in the date of each session in the description every semester.
