Dear all,

I installed the STACK plugin in Moodle 3.3 and I am looking for bank of questions using this STACK plugin in Mathematics for high school or college level.

I saw that his main contributor, Christopher J. Sangwin, mentioned several time the Higher Education Academy’s Open Educational Resources project FETLAR  but the website http://fetlar.bham.ac.uk/ is down and I can't find the new website.

Thanks

I am going to move this thread to the Mathematics tools forum, where Chris Sangwin is more likely to see it.

Thanks for reposting this Tim!

The FETLAR materials have been combined into the "demonstration course" which is distributed with STACK.  Everyone who has STACK already has a local copy of this .mbz https://github.com/maths/moodle-qtype_stack/blob/master/samplequestions/STACK-demo.mbz

You can have a look here: https://stack2.maths.ed.ac.uk/demo/

There is a significant project set up by colleagues in Finland: https://abacus.aalto.fi/ These materials are not available to inspect freely, as they are used by some institutions for formative assessments.  However, the project is welcoming to colleagues who are willing to collaborate and contribute back some materials of their own.

I'm happy to help.

Chris

Dear Roberto,

I'm the coordinator of the project Abacus (see http://abacus.aalto.fi) Chris mentioned.

At the moment, answer to your question is a kind of "yes and no". In principle, Abacus is open for anyone who is interested and makes a collaboration proposal that is sensible for us to accept. But, on the other hand, the consortium works in the way that it is not very practical for schools to join.

On the other hand, there are several high schools in Finland that have expressed interest to join the project and actually we are already working to solve the mentioned practical problems.

If the things go really well, the formal solution could be ready in about 2-3 weeks. Probably it will take a bit longer.

Best regards,

Antti
