Moodle Database Upgrade Help

I'm attempting to update an old moodle site from moodle 2.6 to current.

I went into the C Panel of Inmotion Hosting and upgraded to 3.3.4.

When navigating to the site, it's stating:

Upgrading Moodle database from version 2.6 (Build: 20131118) (2013111800.00) to 3.3.4 (Build: 20180115) (2017051504.00)

The server checks fail for the following:

Moodle - version 2.7 is required and you are running 2.6 (Build: 20131118) Its says 3.3.4 through the C Panel, is that different from the actual version?

Databasemysql (5.5.5-10.2.12-MariaDB-log) - version 5.5.31 is required and you are running 5.5.5.10.2.12 Unsure how to do this. Is this something I'd have to change on InMotion? I called their tech support and they said they didn't know what to do about this.

php_setting - opcache.enable - PHP setting should be changed. Is this a setting on InMotion or something in a .php file somewhere?

Really?!!!   'they don't know what to do about it".

Hmmmm ...

https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/moodle/additional-moodle-features/upgrading-moodle-softaculous

"When a new version comes out, you can upgrade your existing version by using Softaculous. This article will teach you how to upgrade your Moodle software through Softaculous."

https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/moodle

https://www.inmotionhosting.com/moodle-hosting

which says:

"Our Business Class Hosting packages can easily handle a Moodle installation. With unlimited disk space, bandwidth, and up to 10GB of data backup, InMotion can easily handle a Moodle education install.

With Softaculous, InMotion's easy to use application installer, Moodle can be installed, and live without any hassle of having to manually setup a database or configure files."

Borders on criminal!!!

Quick answers that you can pass back to those who say they don't know what to do:

To upgrade to 3.3.4 your Moodle must be at least a version 2.7 of Moodle.   Ask them how to upgrade your 2.6 to 2.7.   That's just one hop ... should be easy for them.

The version of database server (which appears to be MariaDB)  you have should be upgraded to equal the MySQL version shown.   Ask them to upgrade your MariaDB database server version.

And the last ... is a php extension - php-opcache - which needs to be enabled or installed and enabled.

If first level of help desk doesn't help, ask to kick the ticket up one level  ... or go for it and ask for an Engineer.

Do this first ... demand they restore your 2.6 site - do it now - today/tonight/ASAP!   .... before they have an 'excuse' about customer site backup/rotations.
