Does checking "[ ] Default: Yes" mean "No" ?

Does checking "[ ] Default: Yes" mean "No" ?

For example:

Site Policies
Protect usernames  [ ] Default: Yes
By default forget_password.php does not display any hints that would allow guessing of usernames or email addresses.

If I were to check that box, then "Protect usernames" would be set to "No" ?

Hi Walter,

For the setting 'Protect usernames', checking the box means 'Yes, usernames should be protected'.

The text after the checkbox (in this case 'Default: Yes') is just to indicate how the setting is for a new Moodle install, and is generally how most Moodle users would want it.
