Network error when grading

Network error when grading

One of our Professors has reported an intermittent error he receives when grading.  It only occurs when grading assignments.  Normally the page will just sit there and 'spin' and never full load.  Sometimes he can refresh the page, other times he needs to close the page and open another one.  If he copies the URL to another window, it will open normally.

The last time this occurred, he received the attached error. 

Has anyone experienced this type of problem before?  Does anyone have advice on how to troubleshoot further?

The Professor experienced the same problem over the weekend.  He received this error message as well:


This occurred when he was grading assignments using full method, not Quick grading.  This seems to happen when moving between users, or saving grade changes. 

Has anyone experienced this type of problem before?  Could it be a possible AJAX issue?

The Professor continues to experience this as an intermittent issue.  I'm going to plan to purge all caches as a next step, as some have reported this fixing similar issues.
