How to organise multiple departments, admins and users

How to organise multiple departments, admins and users

Hey everyone,

I use Moodle 3.1 (and 3.3 for testing purposes) with the Adaptable theme.

For my school I had to give 4 different faculties / groups and students access to Moodle.

Each group has its own administrator, teachers, users and courses.

How to separate and handle/manage this in Moodle.

I think that roles and categories could be part of a solution, but until now I have not been very successful in finding a solution.

Suppose there are more Moodle administrators who have had to solve this problem.

All help is appreciated.

Hans.

It's more designed for a business environment but have a look at www.iomad.org (a Moodle 'flavour'). This allows complex organisations to be defined.

Hi Howard,
Don't think iomad is an solution. I don't do my own hosting and maintenance on my Moodle install. It's from an external supplier/moodle-partner.

So any usefull information remains welcome.
